Application Description
WinMobile Download Accelerator(WMDA) is an optimized download manager
for Windows Mobile 2003/2003 SE (Pocket PC). Multithreaded download
accelerate the speed with which you can receive files from HTTP/FTP
servers. WMDA is fully integrated into the Pocket Internet Explorer.
WMDA will let you take advantage of a faster and more reliable
download, optimize your download performance, and help you to recover
interrupted downloads. WMDA brings you to the next level of Internet
downloading.
Suspend, resume and recover interrupted download
WMDA enables you to suspend and resume any download in the progress.
WMDA also help you to recover any interrupted download by saving the
all the parameters of an interrupted download, so that it can be
resumed from the point at which it was interrupted.
Seamless Integration with Pocket Internet Explorer
WMDA provides function to launch Pocket Internet Explorer and intercept Pocket Internet Explorer file download.
Accelerated Downloads
WMDA splits a file into segments and download them simultaneously. This
process noticeably increase the download speed. WMDA supports up to
eight segments per file.
Simultaneous Downloads
WMDA is capable of simultaneously downloading up to ten different
files. However, the number of simultaneous files defined in the
transfer manager affects the download speed. The processor power of
your mobile device also define how many simultaneous download could be
implemented. Shall you choose to download one file at a time, once
started, each file that has been added in the transfer manager for
downloading will be set to the Download queue status. When the first
download is finished, download for the next file on the list will be
automatically started, and so on.
